Expert SA, our partner from South Africa – participated in the wonderful Imagine Race, a two-day virtual event.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is marked in countries across the world and helps to increase attention and support for awareness, early diagnosis, and treatment as well as palliative care for women facing this disease.

The majority of women who die from breast cancer live in low and middle-income countries, where most women are diagnosed in late stages due to a variety of factors. These include limited awareness on the part of the public and health care providers, and the lack of access to timely, affordable, and effective diagnosis and treatment.

In 2016, a breast cancer awareness campaign between ILoveBoobies & the Cancer Association of South Africa was formed. Their mandate is to educate and perform clinical screenings for South African women who have limited funds and access to medical facilities.

That’s one of the many reasons why Expert SA chose to participate in the wonderful Imagine Race, a two-day virtual event that took place on the 23 and 24th of October.

The Imagine Race is a way in which ILoveBoobies can easily help make breast cancer screening accessible to thousands of South African women.
